JRCC
Presently there are approximately 15,000 Jews from the Former Soviet Union residing in the Montreal area. These immigrants, many of them recent arrivals, are in grave need of financial, academic and social help. Children need to be integrated into the school system and crisis intervention is often crucial to the family's adjustment into their new life in this country.
To accomodate the needs, the JRCC provides
- Daily Synagogue Services
- High Holiday and Shabbat Services
- Adult Education
- Talmud Torah Sunday School
- Tutorial Program
- Winter Camp
- Holiday Celebrations
- Community Seders
- Jewish Lifecycle Events - for example, Bar Mitzvahs, Brisim and Weddings for those who never had them before.
